MNG by MANGO Reunion at JCPenney

Vahni and I flew to NYC last weekend for the fabulous MNG by MANGO reunion (or, meet-and-greet for people like me who weren't able to make it to Spain) and for the group photo "big reveal". Sangria poured and conversation followed thusly. We were, quite literally, within the velvet rope in a roomful of bloggers whose style was as eclectic (yet, eclectically similar? if that makes sense) as our personalities. It was so fabulous. Everyone was so nice, and heartfelt thanks goes out to Yuli, the rest of the Style Coalition team, and the fabulous MANGO and jcpenney team for a wonderful collaboration. So much fun.

And now...party pics (I just love perusing party pics after the fun is over...don't you?)

As promised, here is another sneak peek of my debut design for my new label (the name of which is yet to be revealed, tee hee):

It's so wearable - that's what I love about it. I wear it all the time (and it has been KILLING me not to be able to reveal it until now!) and it's so incredibly versatile. I wear it with jeans, I wear it with skirts, I wear it with silver shorts (eerily similar to the look above--with sequins, which I LOVE). It's versatile, and the cut is one of my favorite things - the shoulders have this ruche-ing going on, and the epaulets give kind of a strong sophisticated angle to the shoulders which visually slims the waistline. I could totally take credit for this waist-shrinking effect, but it's just a happy byproduct of my design. Yay! Remember, the piece will go on sale for 48 hours only starting 9am EST on Monday (11/22) so snag one before it ends Tuesday night! Doesn't regret suck? I mean...no pressure...or anything.
